This year the theme of this competition will be: The Challenge, meaning any kind of challenge – physical or psychological, overcoming obstacles to pursue one’s dreams; overcoming challenges in sports or any kind of competition, fighting fears and prejudices.
“Maybe not all of these kids will become actors, directors or cameramen, – says Filip Perkon, founder and General producer of the Russian Film Week and Golden Unicorn Awards. – But they most certainly will have an opportunity to show their abilities, get team-work experience, learn something new and express their ideas through the language of film”.
Films should be no longer than 15 minutes, produced in 2017-2018 by the children’s film studios or summer camps or individual artists aged 8-17. The jury will evaluate whether the theme was developed and the creative value of the films.
The winner will get a special Golden Unicorn – the Future of Film award. To runners up will compete for audience votes. All winners will be awarded with a trip to the international children’s film camp Maksatics in the UK.
The III annual Russian Film Week in the UK will take place 25th November – 2nd December 2018 in London, Edinburgh, Oxford, Cambridge.
