Screening of the films nominated for Golden Unicorn Awards in the category «Best Kids Film» followed by a Q&A session with a jury member cinematographer Maxim Trapo, representatives of Maksatics film camp and filmmakers.
For the first time ever the Russian Film Week and the Golden Unicorn Awards – which is part of the RFW – announce a special prize and a special screening for films made by children (8 to 17).
The competition was announced earlier in the year with several children film studios and children film camps in Russia and the UK taking part in it. A special jury consisting of filmmakers, who have experience working on children’s films, has chosen 1 winner and several runners up. The audience on the day will have an opportunity to choose their favourite film and award for “The Best Acting”.
Special prize will be presented by Maksatics camp for “The Best Film Made by Children".
The winners will receive a voucher to participate at one of Maksatics camp’s filmmaking programs in the UK (April) or in Italy(August) or in Russia(summer) 2019 .
Participants are invited to stay for the screening of The Last Hero.
This is a double-bill event, with a discount to the regular ticket price.

On the eve of the Russian Film Week in the UK and our KidsFest on November 25,
Maksatics film camp is holding an event involving talks and interviews with young filmmakers, as well as film industry professionals.
Member of the KidsFest jury cinematographer Maxim Trapo will give a master-class on how to approach a screenplay.
The event will take place at Rossotrudnichestvo on November 25 from 13:00 to 16:00.

Vladimir Grammatikov
Vladimir Grammatikov is an acclaimed Soviet and Russian director, screenwriter and actor. He directed more than 20 featured films, series and TV projects, among which are such legendary works as «Mio in the Land of Faraway», «Mustached Nanny» and a children’s TV programme «Sesame Street». Since 2010 Vladimir is a creative producer for Walt Disney Company CIS.
Maxim Trapo
Maxim Trapo is a cinematographer and screenwriter. Among his works as a cinematographer are such films as «Radio Day», «Pagans» and TV-series «On the other side of death». Maxim is very enthusiastic about children’s filmmaking and was also a member of the jury for the McGuffin film festival.
Marina Arzhilovskaya
Marina Arzhilovskaya is a journalist, film reviewer for Kommersant FM and a writer of children’s books. Among her works are novels «Mystery of the old attic», «Ayryslyn – a heavenly elephant» and fairy-tales «White rose and a blackbird» and «A wonder-mill».
Vadim Sotskov
Vadim Sotskov is a film producer, animator and director of one of the leading Russian animation studios KinoAtis. Among the works by KinoAtis is an animated 3D film «Belka and Strelka: Star Dogs», and TV-series, inspired by it. The company is also a distributor of both Russian and international video content.
